Acrylic on Canvas · E. Erskine · 2026
This acrylic painting on canvas features a person in the lower-left foreground wearing a dark jacket and a light-colored shirt, sitting in a dark boat while actively casting a fishing line out into the blue and turquoise water. The wide waterway in the midground is flanked on the right by a high, light-brown sandy or clay cliffside topped with green bushes and trees, while a long wooden pier or fenced structure stretches out into the water to the left. Completing the scene, the background reveals dark hills lining the horizon beneath a vibrant sky that seamlessly blends from a bright yellow sunset glow into a deep blue evening sky.
