CORE FOUNDATION COURSE
The core foundation provides students with opportunities to develop creativity, technical skills, and critical thinking through the exploration of a wide range of artistic practices. Throughout the course, students learn to communicate ideas, emotions, and personal experiences using diverse media, techniques, and design principles while building confidence in their artistic abilities. They study historical and contemporary art from various cultures, gaining an appreciation for the role of art in society and the ways it reflects identity, culture, and global issues. Students also develop skills in analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating artworks, including their own, using appropriate artistic vocabulary and constructive reflection. By the end of the core foundation, students are expected to produce original works that demonstrate creativity, technical competence, and thoughtful expression while fostering lifelong appreciation for the visual arts and their relevance in everyday life.

Learn how to mix any color from the three primary colours: red, yellow, and blue. During this lesson, you will create your own colour wheel in order to give you the foundation needed when working with colour in any medium. Once you have completed this lesson, you can select a medium of your choice to learn how to apply what you have learned.
