Couple Standing at a Wooden Fence

Acrylic on Canvas · E. Erskine · 2025

This acrylic painting on canvas features a man in a dark suit and a woman in a long white dress and hat in the foreground, standing with their backs turned as they lean against a dark wooden fence overlooking a sandy-brown field. In the midground, a massive, layered grey boulder dominates the center of the scene, topped with a mushroom shaped stone and accented by a small bush blooming with red flowers, while a white sailboat glides across a wide blue body of water. The composition is completed by a background of high, rolling green mountains featuring a thin waterfall cascading down into the water under a heavily textured dark blue sky.
